Bright and Bandhej-ed

All I need to feel wonderful is a bright bandhani kurta worn as a mini shift dress with a brilliant blue bandhani scarf and a hand embroidered bag with fun boots. What are your feel wonderful staples?

Spring block print love

Its officially the season when new leaves and flowers bloom, I can wear lighter layers and summer is just round the corner. And spring summer to me is block-print-fabrics-in-all-the-colours-of-the-rainbow season, yaay...

To be honest though, my favourite game right now is "what am I going to wear in Paris?" interspaced with "wait! What am I going to wear in Amsterdam?" Can you tell I am excited?

Its about half a dozen weeks to take-off, rouge winter coat is in my virtual shopping cart, I am constantly browsing websites for what to do there and lamenting the exchange rate between the Australian Dollar and the Euro.

I think I got my constant penchant of changing clothes from all the Hindi movie songs where the heroine changes half a dozen times in the space of one five-to-seven minute song.

I digress, all I am trying to say is I love wearing my block print dresses in warm weather but I am also obsessed with winter clothes right now. Phew! Happy mid-week lovelies.

Water front shenanigans

I love days when the least amount of clothing is justified due to the heat, take this dress for instance, barely a scrap of fabric. Days when the sunlight beckons you invitingly, all you do is throw on some swim things and almost as an afterthought wear something light and breezy.

Don't get me wrong, I love layering as much as the next person but sometimes the summer heat is so much more fun. Although right now all I can think of is what to wear for a cold winter in Paris...Yes! Its now official, France for Christmas and New Year this year. Any tips on what I should pack and where I should eat, drink and shop?

Afternoon sunlight

Just running around the neighbourhood one late afternoon and then ended up at the closest Jamaican shack, eating the yummiest soft shell crab.

And met the cutest kitty on the way, happy Thursday aka almost Friday world.

Bright greens

I fell off my bike last night and my right leg is skinned and bruised but I still couldn't resist taking these pictures in a lush corner of the city.

I have this skirt in four colours now and even for me its a bit much...Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Rain washed streets

I love pictures taken after the rain seems to have washed everything clean and shiny. I haven't been posting much because work's been keeping me heaps busy, its become cold and I am perpetually in my uniform du jour consisting of non-tight jeans, pure wool sweaters topped off with beanies, Grandpa cardigans and boots. Bright bags really cheer me up over the colder months and colourful socks keep me entertained. What do you do to stay cozy but cheerful over winter?

Sunset shenanigans

Spent Sunday afternoon at the Rozelle markets, met a bunch of lovely puppies and then walked to the Balmain cove to watch a lovely sunset while sipping ice-tea. A lazy Sunday afternoon is just what I needed before the hecticness Monday is sure to bring.

This outfit makes little sense but this is what I do all winter, just pile on layer after layer over a print I like in the hopes of staying warm. This little fabric back-pack is straight out of my dreams and I might never take it off, all I need now is a heap of Cowrie shells that I will hang off it. Its no secret that I love Block-print little tunics but combine them with over-size grand-pa cardies and I am in my comfy heaven. Add a bunch of friendly puppies to my favourite cozy outfit and I've got the essentials covered to long-lasting happiness. All I can say right now is TGIF! Have a happy weekend world.

Autumn sunsets

We had great weather over the weekend which meant going to the beach and playing with puppies at the rock pools till sunset. And warm weather (any weather really) calls for a soft cotton dresses and comfy boots. This dress is a one of my birthday gifts from my sister last year that I have been wearing non-stop for over a year and am not even remotely bored with it. Hope you all had a good weekend. Just what I wear when lounging at home drinking and/or getting a few beers at the neighbourhood pub, layers of various fabrics that feel good against my skin, colourful stone jewellery, comfortable boots and a fun bag. Today I'd really like to talk about what a great collection of women I've met in my little blogging journey so far, they are all stylish, individualistic, fiercely feminist and incredibly supportive, it makes me all warm and fuzzy to interact with them here and on their blogs and its awesome when through them I meet more like minded awesome women.
