Super soft Lakshmi tee shirt in a rainforest

So I know the Hindu God and Goddess tee-shirts are overdone especially by white hippies (cultural appropriation galore) but I still love and wear them heaps! You've seen them before here, here and here. I love the colours of the them, they remind me of everything that is good and fun about home, Visarjan, festivals, rangolis, vintage hand painted movie posters and just life in general. Here I am wearing one such old and kinda tattered but still very much loved tee with a merino baselayer, jeans and an oversized vintage Chevignon jacket along with a suede bag picked up in Kutch.

Still obsessed with my DIY army bag

Dress: Anokhi, Bag: DIY, Boots: Vintage, Jacket+Jewellery: India+Sydney markets+All over

Another surprisingly sunny day, with a different block print dress from Anokhi as well as heaps of shells added to other assorted jewels and my latest favourite DIY bag plus the icing on the cake; a pretty kitty who followed us to a park and played with us all afternoon. If there is a better way to spend a day I don't know it!

Shapeless flowy cotton dresses are my favourite all year round, just add a pair of tights, thermals, a couple of jackets when its really cold and a bright beanie and its PERFECT to me. I constantly wish there were more of them in my wardrobe and then open it to see I have a tonne of them already and am still left wanting more. What can I say once I like something I decide to be loyal to it for the rest of my life. And now onto the bag, it goes with everything, there is not one thing in my closet that it looks bad with. How awesome is that? I almost hug it to sleep every night. Hope everyone's having a wonderful week. Happy Friday world!

The glorious return of oversize jacket weather

Vintage tee and jacket, Suede boots: France, Jewellery: India+Sydney markets

Its that time of the year again, the glorious trans-seasonal phase when I can wear over-size jackets and beanies with tiny skirts without tights and not freeze. Aah! bliss, if only this pesky flu season wouldn't accompany the perfect temperatures. Wore this today to eat some yummies and go to the local Indian shop to stock up on desi goodies plus heaps of bindis.

Lately I haven't been able to take off my various shell neck-laces, bindis, bright woven bags and this over-size buttery leather made in NZ cozy as hell beauty. Yup summer or winter, my love for oversize band tees remains strong, just add layers till I resemble a polar bear wearing a number of fleece jackets. The neon bracelet visible in some pictures is from the GnR concert I went to on my birthday and I refuse to take it off! Happy start of the week everyone.

More over size leather jacket love

Saturday basically consisted of sleeping in till super late, having yummy lunch courtesy the boy's culinary prowess, taking a super long nap, going out for some divine gelato and then walking around little lanes of Surry hills before going to the friendly neighbourhood pub for a couple of pints. Nothing could be more suited to an easy relaxed day like another oversize-nana-jumper like leather-jacket over a worn in tee, my current fave shoes from Zara and an army surplus bag that I am itching to stitch patches on. The boy is making hilarious jokes about crappy yoghurt ads in France plus the Gremlins movie is playing in the background and there are comments being made in a furby voice therefore I can't think of much to write. Happy Sunday all!

Oversize leather jackets are the bomb

Denim skirt: Mink Pink, Shoes: Chucks, Jacket: Vintage, Panda tee: From when I worked at a WWF stall, Jewellery: Gifts/ India

I've had this vintage leather jacket forever and for a long time I wanted to give it away because the shoulder looked really odd on me plus its not the buttery soft texture I like but a little stiff. Then the other night I had a burst of energy before bedtime and decided to cut the lining and pull out the shoulder pads et voila I fell in deep abiding love inspite of the boy calling it the U word. I think the immeasurable depth of my feeling might be due to the fact that I seem to love clothes that most men deem unsexy, just my way of giving a finger to society and the way women are supposed to dress. The uglier more man repellish the clothing the happier I am to be attracted to it :D

I want to be YOLO-ing wearing clothes that resemble shapeless sacks not to mention the innumerable layering possibilities. Yo winter I'm totally going to be ready for you! I mean I really think clothing to fit one's size is highly overrated. What are your thoughts?

Yellow and Blue

Dress: Only, Shirt and Leather jacket: Super old can't remember, Boots: India, Turquoise pendant: Mexico, All other jewellery: India

Ummm...So where do I begin? I basically had the awful-est time on my trip both physically and emotionally and I'll stop at that. But I can't let things or people get me down, can I? Therefore I am going to do all the things that I enjoy doing more than ever and wear ANYTHING that I WANT no matter what. One thing that I've decided is that no one is going to tell me what to wear or how to behave :D

I have been obsessing about Maxi dresses and skirts for quite some time now and this spring weather lets me wear boots as well as pile layers of mis-matched clothes and jewellery on top. What could be better? Have a great week everyone!
