Mardigras parade snapshots: Part deux

I really wanted to dress up for the Mardigras parade this year and then I kinda figured that every year I dress like I really want to look at all times. So I just kept it simple with blue hair, (I wish I had the balls to go through the bleaching process, I've had red and violet before and it really damaged my hair) green lips, booty shorts, a sequinned top and my Docs plus loads and loads of shimmer powder. Easy but something that's really me and it was awesome to be out dressed comfortably in the crowd. The energy, the feeling and the celebration that is this period and the parade just makes me a happy ball of euphoria. I wish these pictures could convey the sheer joy that is being able to celebrate equality in this fashion. I am so happy that my current home is this city that celebrates equal rights this flamboyantly.

Booty shorts: Insight, Sequin top: Don't remember, Vintage leather backpack and Docmartens

SQUEE!
I was away all weekend, and have been looking forward to your pix!
You looked divoon in blue sequins and denim! I would totally have thought sequins, sequin ANYTHING is a Mardi Gra ideal to me!
The outfits, the tight arses, the smiles!!! Such a lot of FUNNAGE!
I used to go to a couple of clubs on Oxford St in the 80's, The Exchange and Patches, and it was always a camp party time that just exploded at Mardi Gras. YAY!
